| FOOD FOR SOUL, 2005 Leaf Bowls and Bamboo sticks, 90 x 90 x 270 cm approx The walls of this construction are entirely made up of leaf bowls threaded together with thin bamboo strips. Cumulation of the leaf bowls on the vertical axes of bamboo sticks help create the temporary walls of the space. The inner spaces of the construct are an invitation to pause, reflect and connect. A mass produced object, the leaf bowl finds its humble use in big community kitchens as much as in traditional meals during festivities, making it easily and immediately relatable. |
